About this role
SUMMARY: The Sr. Engineering Technician is responsible for testing all warranty and investigation units, assisting with warranty troubleshooting, assisting engineering in training, assisting with production, as needed and any other duty found necessary to fulfill the engineering requirements for the repair of civil aviation articles in accordance with the current technical data provided in the manufacturers Instructions for Continued Airworthiness, Services Bulletins, service letters, Airworthiness Directives, government and industry standard practices, and other data acceptable to or approved by the FAA. Also, maintaining Hazardous Chemical Log and SDS sheets.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Test/repair all warranty and investigation units.
- Assist with warranty troubleshooting.
- Assist in creating warranty/investigation reports.
- Assist engineering with training.
- Assist with production as needed.
- Other duties as assigned to fulfill engineering requirements of the company.
Qualifications
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelors degree AND/OR A&P License
OR an additional 3-year specific work experience in lieu of degree.
- 4 years of relevant/technical work experience
- 1-2 years fuel control testing required.
- Ability to articulate and communicate technical findings/information both verbally and written.
- Flexible to changing workloads/priorities based on customer requirements.
- Maintain an orderly and productive work environment.
- Able to function in fast paced environment while maintaining a high level of quality.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
- 6+ years of aviation accessory production/technician experience, preferred.
