About this role

Job Purpose:
- The Behavioral Tech II is responsible for providing direct care and support to individuals with behavioral health needs during Shift 2. This role involves assisting in the implementation of treatment plans, monitoring patient progress, and ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans for clients.
- Monitor and document client behavior and progress, reporting any significant changes to the clinical team.
- Provide direct care and support to clients, including assistance with daily living activities and therapeutic interventions.
- Ensure the safety and security of clients by maintaining a structured and supportive environment.
- Facilitate group activities and therapeutic sessions as directed by clinical staff.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
- Participate in training and development activities to enhance skills and knowledge in behavioral health care.
- Respond to emergencies and crises in a calm and effective manner, following established protocols.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in all interactions with clients and staff.

Qualifications

Required Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.

Required Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a behavioral health setting.
- Experience working with individuals with mental health disorders.
- Familiarity with shift work and ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

Required Skills and Abilities:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Proficient in crisis intervention techniques.
- Knowledge of behavioral health principles and practices.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards.
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
