We’re seeking a highly motivated Dealer Development Specialist (DDS) to support our dealers. In this role, you will travel extensively and visit dealers that are selling the Cardo products, make sure that they are fully trained, have the right marketing materials, and have everything it takes to successfully sell and promote the Cardo brand.
The Dealer Development Specialist is responsible for the development of the Cardo business within all Cardo-carrying dealers. This role is a high-value addition to the sales organization and its channel partners, enabling revenue growth and increasing sales productivity.
This entry-level position is suitable for people looking to join a fast-growing company and spend most of their time on the road visiting Powersports dealers.
The position reports directly to Cardo’s GM Americas.
Responsibilities
- Dealer Visits: Regularly visit powersports dealerships within your assigned territory to assess their training needs, marketing materials inventory, and sales processes.
- Training and Education: Provide comprehensive training sessions to dealership staff on the features, benefits, and selling points of Cardo products. Train them on the effective use of our products and address any questions or concerns they may have.
- Marketing Material Placement: Collaborate with dealerships to ensure they have an adequate supply of marketing materials.
- Relationship Building: Establish and nurture strong relationships with dealership owners, managers, and sales representatives. Serve as the main point of contact for dealership inquiries and concerns, and promptly address any issues that may arise.
- Product Knowledge Support: Stay updated on the latest features, updates, and advancements in Cardo products. Be able to effectively communicate this information to dealerships and address any technical inquiries they may have.
- Market Insights: Gather and report market insights and competitor activities to internal teams. Provide feedback on the market's response to our products and identify potential opportunities for improvement or expansion.
- Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate records of dealership visits, training sessions, sales performance, and marketing material inventory. Prepare regular reports summarizing activities, achievements, and areas for improvement.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Previous experience within the powersports industry is highly preferred.
- Dirt bike background is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of powersports products, specifically Cardo communication systems, is an advantage.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to deliver engaging training sessions and effectively communicate with dealership personnel.
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with dealerships, demonstrating exceptional customer service skills.
- Results-oriented mindset with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving business growth.
- Highly organized with excellent time management skills, capable of managing multiple dealership visits and priorities.
- Self-motivated and proactive, able to work independently and remotely while maintaining consistent communication with the team.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel frequently, with at least 80% of travel time.
