FHU is currently looking for a summer intern to join us in our Omaha, Nebraska or Des Moines, Iowa office working on transportation planning projects by assisting with the following:
- technical analyses and written documentation as a part of teams working on projects
- multi-modal transportation plans for cities and counties, corridor studies, transit development plans, bicycle and pedestrian plans, and environmental assessments
- conducting research into various transportation planning topics
- client and stakeholder meetings and presentations in a supporting role
- public engagement support for planning projects
Requirements
- Graduate or upper-level undergraduate student in Urban/Regional Planning or related field
- Strong computer skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Available for 3-month timeframe
Preferred Skills
- Previous coursework and demonstrated interest in transportation planning
Benefits
Starting pay: $23.00 per hour
