SUMMARY: As part of a leading Global Aerospace Distributor, the Senior Warehouse Associate is responsible for understanding and executing all facets of operational processes including order fulfillment, receiving, domestic / international shipping, and inventory control. The Senior Warehouse Associate will be required to work in a team environment to achieve the expected results.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Order Picking and Packaging
- Receiving, Packing, and Storing material in warehouse locations
- General understanding of vendor paperwork upon receiving and shipping
- Prepare orders for domestic and international shipping and verify all required documentation is included
- Responsible for producing Export / Customs documentation, which includes SLIs and AES filings
- Contacts Freight Forwarders to coordinate shipments
- Performs inventory cycle counts and makes appropriate inventory adjustments as needed
- Ensures warehouse and workstations are clean and organized.
- Performs other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.
Qualifications
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- A high school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- 1-2 years of relevant/technical work experience.
- AOG duty, on call service rotation.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Must be able to lift 40 pounds.
- Proficiency in using various software, mainly Microsoft Office Word and Outlook.
- Ability to read and write at a proficient level
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
- Associate degree or technical certification.
- 2+ years of operational/warehouse work experience.
- Intermediate computer knowledge.
- Knowledge of Component Control Quantum.
- Ability to operate forklift and pallet jack
