- Having 48 college credit hours -or- Paraprofessional Certificate from Oklahoma State Board of Education -or- take and Pass the Paraprofessional Test with at least a Bronze Level
- Classroom preparation : Setting up the classroom for lessons, helping with materials, and keeping the classroom clean and organized
- Student support : Working with individual students and small groups, helping with special needs, and monitoring behavior
- Lesson planning : Assisting with planning and implementing lesson plans and activities
