Discover the Role

A Senior Client Accountant supports their team in the provision of a high-quality client service, producing service deliverables for the more complex entities and platinum clients in the teams portfolio. You will be responsible for delivering specified deliverables to clients in accordance with internal and external deadlines and work autonomously preparing management accounts, financial statements and tax filings under review of the Client Account Manager. The role concentrates also on answering queries from clients and providing them with requested documentation.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage a portfolio of complex entities and high-value clients, ensuring accurate and timely service delivery.
- Prepare management accounts, statutory financial statements, and regulatory filings in compliance with IFRS and UK GAAP.
- Ensure all client, statutory, tax, and audit deadlines are met.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a key point of contact for queries and requests.
- Review the work of junior team members and provide technical guidance and mentoring.
- Support the management of audits, month-end and year-end close processes, and compliance activities.
- Assist with task delegation, workload management, and quality control across the team.
- Contribute to process improvements, system enhancements, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Requirements

- Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
- Professionally qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, SAICA, or equivalent).
- Minimum 1 year post-qualification experience (PQE).
- Experience in financial reporting, accounting, and compliance within a professional services, accounting practice, or corporate services environment.
- Exposure to UK GAAP, IFRS, statutory reporting, VAT, and corporate tax compliance would be preferred.
- Experience working with complex corporate structures, special purpose vehicle (SPV), or structured finance entities would be advantageous.
- Strong client service orientation with the ability to build and maintain effective client relationships.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
- Highly organized with strong planning, time management, and attention to detail.
- Fluent in spoken and written English.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
- Experience using accounting and financial reporting systems.
