About this role

Reporting to the RTO Manager, you will play a key leadership role in coordinating trainers, managing training delivery schedules, supporting team development, and ensuring a positive experience for apprentices and stakeholders.

About the Role

As the Pre-Trade Supervisor, you will lead a team of approximately 10 trainers and be responsible for ensuring training programs are delivered safely, effectively, and to a high standard. You'll work closely with trainers, students, and internal stakeholders to support operational excellence and continuous improvement within the training function.

Location : South Guildford

Roster: Monday – Friday 8.5 hour days (including meal break)

Key Responsibilities

- Lead, mentor and support a team of Pre-Trade Trainers

- Coordinate trainer schedules and resource allocation

- Monitor training delivery and minimise disruptions through effective planning and risk management

- Support trainer development and professional development requirements

- Act as the primary point of contact for training operations and scheduling matters

- Foster a positive, accountable and high-performing team culture

- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the training department

- Ensure training programs are delivered in line with industry and organisational requirements

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring strong leadership capability combined with hands-on trade experience and a passion for developing people.

Essential Requirements

- Trade Certificate or equivalent within the Automotive industry (AUR qualification or equivalent)

- Previous supervisory or leadership experience within a trade environment

- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills

- Solutions-focused mindset with the ability to manage competing priorities

- Ability to build professional relationships and maintain clear boundaries

Desirable

- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE) or working towards completion

- Experience within training, education, apprenticeships or workforce development environments
