GIS Specialist| Team Leadership

SPECIFIC EXPERTISE AND TECHNOLOGIES

Minimum required level

- Extensive experience with ArcGIS Pro: 5 years.
- Development of geographic analysis python tools using ArcGIS Notebook or
- python toolboxes: 5 years
- Extensive experience with ArcGIS Spatial Analyst and ArcGIS Online: 5 years
- Geoprocessing of geographic data, topological integrity, handling various
- coordinate reference systems and management of metadata: 5 years
- Very good experience in the production of thematic maps: 5 years
- Ability to build SQL queries for data cleaning or selection: 5 years
- At least 2 years of experience in team leadership

Additional expertise and technologies

- Knowledge of GIS methodologies, tools, and technologies (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS) supported by formal training or certification.
- Knowledge and practical experience with GIS methodologies, tools, and platforms (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS) for spatial analysis and mapping.
- Knowledge of geospatial database management (e.g., Oracle) for dataset maintenance, analysis, and updates.
- Knowledge of geospatial data management operations, including modelling, transformation, enrichment, quality assurance, dissemination, and visualisation.
- Knowledge of spatial analysis methodologies (e.g., computational geometry, network analysis, geo-statistics, photogrammetry, remote sensing) applied to geospatial problems.
- Knowledge of geospatial database technologies and design practices (e.g., UML class diagrams, spatial indexing) with exposure to database administration.
- Knowledge of programming and scripting (e.g., Python, R, JavaScript) for automated GIS workflows, web services, and software development.
- Knowledge of cartographic design principles and web mapping technologies (e.g., ArcGIS Online) to create interactive and real-time maps.
- Knowledge of geospatial big data management and tools (e.g., Geoevent Server) for large-scale data processing.
- Knowledge of web cartography technologies and standards (e.g., HTML, ArcGIS web mapping technologies, QGIS, OSGeo web mapping technologies, GeoJSON/TopoJSON formats, SLD, T-WMS and other OGC standards) for interactive mapping.
- Knowledge of earth observation data operations (e.g., Copernicus, Sentinel, Landsat) including collection, processing, integration, and analysis.
- Knowledge of international standards on GI (e.g. ISO, OGC, INSPIRE, etc.);
- Knowledge of metadata standards and cataloguing (e.g., ISO 19115, INSPIRE metadata) for geospatial data governance and discoverability.
- Knowledge of data interoperability practices and APIs for sharing and consuming geospatial data across platforms.

CERTIFICATES AND/OR STANDARDS

- Certificate for FME Form Basic or equivalent - Mandatory
- Technical Certification ArcGIS Pro, level Associate or equivalent - Mandatory
- Certifications for Coordinate Systems, Spatial Data, Data Management, ArcGIS Online,Raster Data, and Python – Mandatory.
