Production / Shipping Supervisor
We are seeking a strategic, results-oriented Production / Shipping Supervisor to lead daily shipping and production operations, coordinate multi-shift workflows, and drive floor-level efficiency in a fast-paced, metrics-driven union environment.

Position Type: Direct Hire / Temp-to-Perm
Compensation: $21.63 | $45,000/salary (DOE)
Schedule: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts.
Supervisor Responsibilities
Direct and mentor floor personnel to establish accountability, drive high morale, and cultivate a continuous improvement culture.
Manage daily throughput for receiving, staging, picking, and shipping operations.
Analyze real-time performance dashboards (IPM/IPH, accuracy, cycle times) to reallocate labor dynamically, eliminate bottlenecks, and consistently hit department-wide KPIs.
Partner with upper management to maintain labor compliance, manage shift scheduling, resolve floor grievances, and uphold safety protocols.
Serve as the primary point of contact between warehouse operations, inventory control, transportation, and customer service to resolve backorders and fulfillment variances.

Metric / Focus Target / Standard Operational Focus Throughput Velocity IPM & IPH Benchmarks Monitor department-wide Items Per Minute / Hour trends to optimize line balancing. Fulfillment Rate 95%+ Department Target Ensure accurate order consolidation and minimize short-ships across all accounts. Inventory & Accuracy 99%+ Pick Accuracy Enforce strict staging verification to cut backorders and return rates. Work Environment Fast-Paced Union Operations High-volume single-item and case picking facility requiring active floor leadership.
Qualifications
Bilingual Proficiency: Fluent in English and Spanish (required for floor communication and leadership).
Experience: 3+ years in warehouse supervisory or department management roles within high-volume distribution or wholesale hubs.
