Counter Sales

Federated Co-ops, Inc. is seeking a Full-Time Counter Sales person to join our team at the Rush City Agronomy Center! In this role, the Counter Sales person will provide excellent customer service by assisting Agronomy Center customers with product questions, purchases, orders, and other day-to-day needs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities of the Counter Sales include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

- Answer customer questions concerning location, price, and use of merchandise.

- Check customer out at register. Accepts payment and makes change.

- Carry merchandise and feed bags to vehicle for customers.

- Complete general housekeeping duties.

- Report to store management with complaints, concerns, or questions.

- Answer phone, respond to customer questions and take orders.

- Receive payments from customers.

- Fill propane cylinders.

- Perform customer billing of products and services.

- Run forklift - Federated will provide training.

Qualifications

Requirements:

To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:

- Must be 18 years or older.

- Good problem solving, organization and communication skills.

- Ability to work extended hours and weekends during peak season.

- Driver's License (preferred).

- Uses equipment in a safe manner.

- Ability to learn multiple software programs, including Microsoft Word and Excel.

Education/Experience:

- 1 - 3 years customer service (preferred)

Physical Demands:

The employee may lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

The wage range for this position is $18 - 21/hour. The actual pay offered will vary based on multiple factors which include, without limitation, experience, education, training, specialized skills and certifications.
