Job Summary:

Responsible for the quality assurance monitoring and improvement of the transplant center data systems (EPIC PHOENIX and UNOS data systems). Develops and implements quality system measures of key activities within the transplant programs for purposes of maintaining regulatory compliance with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and the United Network of Organ Sharing (UNOS). Performs SRTR compliance monitoring. Frequent reviews new policies, procedures and changing compliance guidelines of federal regulatory agencies. Serves as the point person for Transplant Center surveys including CMS, UNOS and The Joint Commission (TJC).

EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION:

Minimum of one year of transplant coordinator or inpatient nursing experience is required. A minimum of 5 years of experience in the solid organ transplant field preferred.

EDUCATION DESCRIPTION:

Bachelor’s degree in Nursing is required.

LICENSURE DESCRIPTION:

Requires current State of Wisconsin Registered Nurse License or a Multi-state Nursing License from a participating state in the NLC. Completion of CCTC, preferred.

SPECIAL SKILLS DESCRIPTION:

Intermediate to expert knowledge of the federal regulations (CMS, OPTN, UNET) regulations governing transplant processes. Proficiency in statistical analysis.
