Job Title: Electrical Engineer Job Description
The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for hardware design work, conducting root cause investigations, performing worst-case analysis, assessing electrical derating performance, supporting hardware-software integration, and enhancing manufacturing scalability for an electromechanical propulsion product. This product involves components such as motors, motor drivers, solenoids, sensors, and power electronics up to 300 watts.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop hardware for electromechanical propulsion systems.
- Conduct root cause investigations to identify and resolve issues.
- Perform worst-case analysis to ensure product reliability.
- Support hardware-software integration efforts.
- Improve manufacturing scalability for hardware components.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in schematic and hardware design.
- Experience with Altium design software.
- Expertise in root cause failure analysis.
- Ability to conduct analog design and worst-case analysis.
- Knowledge of power electronics design.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE).
- Experience designing power electronics up to 300 watts.
Work Environment
The role supports Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) programs, including Eagle Eye, Roadrunner, Ghost, Anvil, and Fury. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to multiple propulsion-based programs.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Costa Mesa, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $89.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be
