About this role

## Overview
The International Shipping Specialist is responsible for all aspects of international shipping activities. It is preferred that the International Shipper be knowledgeable with Freight Forwarding and U.S./ Foreign Customs brokerage activities to track and execute shipments successfully and on time. The International Shipper will also need to be knowledgeable in hazmat packaging and shipping.

Responsibilities

- Regular, reliable, and predictable attendance.

- Responsible for shipping operations for all Cirrus Aftermarket outbound movements

- Responsible to maintain adequate flow of outbound hazardous and international shipments

- Investigate and solve issues related to shipping discrepancies

- Generate and maintain SOPs for packaging & shipping standards

- Able to communicate effectively with internal and external customers

- Package and ship hazardous materials in accordance with domestic and international regulations

- Generate paperwork for shipments going through freight forwarding companies

- Use ERP system to process orders

- Maintain work area in a neat, organized, and clean manner at all times

- Work with inventory team when inaccuracies are discovered

- Work with Quality Assurance to correct any FAA 8130-3 forms

Qualifications

- High School diploma or equivalent required. Some college or training in a logistics field required

- 2+ years of experience in a shipping or logistics field required

- Prior use of Shipping Solutions or similar software is preferred

- Ability to pass hazardous material training to obtain certification for shipping and handling

- Ability to demonstrate sound judgement and effective communication skills (written and verbal).

- Ability to effectively manage stress, including competing work demands and multiple projects at the same time.

- Be self-motivated and maintain consistent activity

- Able to contribute a positive attitude while handling external pressures

- Familiarity with 49 CFR and IATA regulations preferred

## Pay Range
Salary Range: USD $22.87/Hr. - USD $34.31/Hr.
