Associate Campus Director of Men's Discipleship & Prayer - CPC

Summary of Position

The Associate Campus Director of Men’s Discipleship and Prayer at the Capital Hills Campus (CPC) leads men to reach those who do not know Jesus and equips them to reach others. The role includes building and executing a campus strategy for men’s evangelism, including recruiting and coaching volunteer leaders. This role also is responsible for cultivating a growing culture of prayer across all ministries and weekend services.

- Demonstrated active prayer life, both private and public

- Exhibits spiritual maturity and Godly character in both word & deed

- Self-motivated, humble, and strong desire for discipleship

- Ability to research and implement best practices for men’s discipleship

- Ability to create, adapt, &/or use curriculum suitable for men’s discipleship

- Ability to set goals and create processes to help achieve them

- Strong ability to communicate and execute vision

- Strong people skills

- A member of the Summit Church or willing & able to become a member

Responsibilities

Men’s Discipleship

- Through direction from supervisor and Central Men’s Director - lead the men of Capital Hills Campus (CPC) to reach men who do not know Jesus, equip them, and send them to reach still more men.

- Plan, promote, execute, and evaluate all men’s initiatives at CPC.

- Create new events, strategies, and approaches that reach more men that align with the vision of the Summit Church.

- Recruit, develop, and coach a strong group of leaders who actively reach others and grow the ministry.

- Mobilize men to serve the church and community as a natural part of their growth.

- Evaluate and refine ideas for men’s initiatives to keep them aligned with the vision and values of the Summit Church.

- Serve visibly at Sunday gatherings and campus-wide events, stepping in wherever needed.

- Attend staff meetings prepared to contribute and report on men’s initiatives.

Prayer

- Cultivate a strong culture of prayer across the campus by:

Maintaining a vibrant personal prayer life

- Overseeing staff prayer times and the weekly campus prayer gathering

- Developing and growing the Boiler Room and Prayer Teams during weekend services

- Raising the priority of prayer in every campus ministry

- Facilitating all-church campus prayer nights with the Campus Pastor

- Creating and executing fresh ways to strengthen prayer throughout CPC

Churchwide Events

The hours for this position are expected to be 40 hours per week. As one church that meets in many locations, there are several times throughout the year that Summit holds church-wide events in an effort to do whatever it takes to reach all people. All staff members are expected to serve at these church-wide events regardless of the positions they hold.

Such events include, but are not limited to: Easter services, church-wide prayer meetings, Good Friday service, and Christmas services. Serving expectations will be communicated in advance of each event.
