About this role

The Coronary Observation Unit (Boise) is an outpatient unit that works closely with several inpatient care areas, including 3 Tele, 7E, 6E, 4S, SICU, and MICU. This collaborative environment provides an excellent opportunity to gain broad healthcare experience while supporting patients across the continuum of care.

Full-Time Day Shift | 0.9 FTE

- Three 12-hour shifts per week
- Typical shift hours: 5:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
- May occasionally be required to stay later based on patient care needs

What to Expect

In this dual CNA/Health Unit Coordinator (HUC) role, you will provide direct patient care while supporting the operational needs of the unit. Responsibilities include:

- Assisting with patient care activities to support patient comfort, safety, and well-being
- Obtaining vital signs and performing EKGs
- Creating and maintaining patient charts and documentation
- Managing unit supplies, inventory, and restocking
- Answering phones and coordinating communication within the unit
- Occasionally assisting with IV removal, as appropriate
- Supporting the care team through a combination of clinical and administrative duties

Qualifications

- Education: No minimum education requirement
- Licenses/Certifications: Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the State of Idaho
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
