About this role

Vice President, Capital Formation

Location: Wayne, New Jersey, New York, NY
Employment: Full-time

Build the capital engine behind differentiated private-market access.

Lumida is an AI-native modern wealth advisor and Wealth Architect for owners and creators.

Our mission is to make money intelligent. We bring investing, trust and estate planning, and tax strategy together in a single wealth architecture—helping clients grow, protect, and transfer wealth with greater intention.

Our investment platform spans public markets and differentiated alternatives, including select pre-IPO opportunities for qualified clients. Our approach is institutional in its breadth, non-consensus in its thinking, and deeply personal in its application.

Our team shares the mindset of our clients: curious, original, and driven to build what does not yet exist. Lumida is venture-backed, with real traction, an ambitious product vision, and a rapidly growing community.

We are hiring a licensed Vice President, Capital Formation to raise capital for Lumida-sponsored investment vehicles. This is a senior, revenue-owning role for someone who can earn the confidence of sophisticated investors, translate investment theses into clear conviction, and turn a strong network into durable capital relationships.

Lumida’s private-investment track record includes CoreWeave, Shield AI, Atoms (founded by Travis Kalanick), Kraken and other deals.

We are building a focused private-investment platform across the themes reshaping the next decade.

The mandate

Own capital formation for Lumida vehicles and build toward $100 million of capital raised in your first 12 months.

You will source, cultivate, and close allocations from:

- Family offices and ultra-high-net-worth investors

- Founders, entrepreneurs, and senior operators

- RIAs and wealth-management platforms

- Institutional allocators

You will work directly with Lumida's CEO, CIO, and investment team to shape investor materials, position each opportunity, run a disciplined pipeline, and create the repeatable fundraising infrastructure that supports a growing alternatives platform.

Investment themes

Lumida invests where structural change creates asymmetric opportunity:

- AI infrastructure

- Energy Infrastructure

- Aging and longevity

- Defense technology

- Fintech

What you will do

- Lead end-to-end fundraising for Lumida-sponsored investment vehicles, from prospecting through subscription and close.

- Build and manage a high-quality pipeline of qualified purchasers from your own network and Lumida's community: accredited investors, family offices, RIAs, and institutions.

- Develop trusted senior relationships and convert them into repeat capital commitments.

- Partner with the investment team to communicate each vehicle's strategy, portfolio construction, risks, and fit for prospective investors.

- Create a rigorous fundraising operating cadence: CRM hygiene, pipeline reviews, conversion reporting, investor follow-up, and forecast accuracy.

- Help refine positioning, investor materials, due-diligence responses, and capital-formation processes.

- Represent Lumida at investor meetings, industry events, and targeted relationship-building opportunities.

- Attend Lumida community events and deepen relationships with investors, founders, and family-office leaders.

- Operate with exacting attention to securities-law, firm-policy, and investor-suitability requirements.

What you bring

- Active U.S. securities licensing appropriate to capital formation, including one or more of Series 7, 63, 65, 66, or 82

- Confidence in AI tooling such as Grok Bot, Claude CoWork and Chat GPT to raise productivity, and related tools such as Hubspot.

- A demonstrated record of raising capital for private funds, alternative investments, private companies, or institutional strategies.

- An established, relevant U.S. network across family offices, UHNW investors, RIAs, founders, and/or institutional allocators.

- Strong command of private-market fundraising, investor qualification, diligence processes, and subscription workflows.

- Credibility discussing investment strategies with sophisticated investors; intellectual range across technology, alternatives, macroeconomic themes, and portfolio construction.

- Excellent judgment, concise communication, and the ability to represent Lumida with discretion.

- Entrepreneurial ownership

Nice to have

- Experience originating private-market opportunities and developing an informed point of view on prospective investments.

- Ability to support investment underwriting, diligence, and the preparation of clear, decision-useful deal memos.

Why Lumida

- Work directly with the CEO on company-defining initiatives across AI, growth, capital raising, and company building.

- You'll have a front-row seat to a company that is in the leading edge of disrupting a trillion dollar market.

- Join a venture-backed company with real traction, an ambitious product vision, and a rapidly growing community.

The Opportunity

This is a rare opportunity to help scale a differentiated private-investments business inside a modern wealth platform. You will work directly with the CEO, CIO, and investment team to bring exceptional opportunities to sophisticated investors.
