Your Impact:

Join OpenText's new European Cloud and AI Innovation Hub! Our Cork-based innovation hub focuses on next-generation AI, sovereign data, cloud innovation, cybersecurity automation, operational intelligence, and regulatory-ready technology solutions that support clients across Europe and beyond. As an AI R&D Intern, you'll collaborate with developers, architects, product teams, and business stakeholders to develop, test, and evaluate emerging technologies.

This internship will contribute to initiatives spanning Agentic AI, Sovereign Data, Telemetry & Observability, Cybersecurity Automation, Cloud Technologies, and European regulatory frameworks while gaining experience in a global enterprise environment. If you have a strong interest in AI, cloud technologies, cybersecurity, software development, or emerging technologies, we would love to hear from you!

This internship is open to third year students as part of your degree program. This opportunity will require you to work from our Cork City centre office location to participate in the full innovation lifecycle; from research and experimentation through prototyping, validation, and enterprise application.

What You Need to Succeed:

- Pursuing an undergraduate or postgraduate degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Cybersecurity, Artificial Intelligence, Information Systems, or related field.
- Support projects involving Agentic AI, Generative AI, AI orchestration, workflow automation, telemetry, observability, cybersecurity analytics, and cloud technologies.
- Collaborate with development research, product, and business teams on applied innovation initiatives.
- Design, develop, test, and evaluate emerging AI, cybersecurity, cloud, and data technologies and build prototypes, proof-of-concepts, automation tools, and technical demonstrations.
- Gather, analyze, and document technical and business requirements to support solution development.
- Conduct research on sovereign cloud architectures, secure data platforms, automation frameworks, AI-driven insights, and technology solutions to regulatory constraints.
- Create technical documentation, architectural diagrams, presentations, and stakeholder-ready recommendations.
- Present findings, project outcomes, and lessons learned to technical and business audiences.
- Contribute to university partnerships, applied research projects, and innovation ecosystem initiatives, where applicable.

You're Great At:

- Working with Generative AI, LLMs, AI agents, prompt engineering, or workflow automation.
- Working with APIs, databases, analytics tools, or software development projects through coursework, research, or personal initiatives.
- Programming languages such as Python, Java, JavaScript, or C#.
- Applying analytical and problem-solving skills to complex technical challenges.
- Communicating technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Showing curiosity, initiative, creativity, and a willingness to innovate.
