The Position: Calibration Technician
We are seeking an enthusiastic Calibration Technician to join our calibration team. This department team specializes in the calibration of precision measurement and test equipment of various types. This is a full-time position based at our corporate office in Marietta, GA and offers a comprehensive Total Awards package including competitive compensation, medical, dental, vision, short term and long-term disability, life insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid holidays, and paid time off/vacation.
Job Description:
Candidates will work with other technicians on the team or may work on projects by themselves. The candidate should be a self-starter and should possess good interpersonal skills. Good verbal and written communication skills and well as computer skills are a must. Candidates may be required to travel on-site to calibrate a variety of test and measurement equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Perform testing and calibration of environmental measuring equipment such as temperature, humidity, infrared, and wind measuring devices.
- Become familiar with environmental calibration laboratory and safety through structured and on the job training.
- Write reports.
- Perform analysis of test results and literature related to customers products/machinery/equipment.
- Provide excellent customer service on a daily basis.
Qualifications
Requirements:
- Basic awareness of a lab environment and related safety protocols through education or experience.
- Ability and willingness to work alone or as part of a team.
- Demonstrate ability to read and comprehend test data and equipment, product, and machinery manuals.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to work in a team environment; good verbal communication and written communication skills
- Mechanically inclined
- Willingness to learn and develop
- Candidates with prior military experience are encouraged to apply..
- C andidate shall be able to lift 60 pounds.
- Candidate shall have a clean driving record, background check, and drug screen.
