Job Description
The Position:
The metrology inspection team from our calibration department specializes in full dimensional measurement capabilities from our CMM, computed tomography, and laser scanning labs along with on-site metrology programming and support. Our metrology inspection team is currently seeking a passionate, enthusiastic, and confident CMM programmer and metrology specialist to serve our lab in Marietta, GA. This position will also include traveling to customer facilities for CMM programming and dimensional inspections.
Responsibilities:
The Dimensional inspection specialist will perform in-lab and on-site dimensional inspections, on-site programming, and offline programming of dimensional inspection equipment. This includes not limited to CMMs, CT, laser scanning and vision systems. Main duties will include PC-DMIS CMM programming offline and FARO arm dimensional inspections. This includes remote programming for customers to run programs on their CMMs, in-lab first article inspections, dimensional layouts, and dimensional analysis such as part-to-part and part-to-CAD comparisons, on-site CMM programming and on-site FARO arm inspections
Qualifications
Required Experience and Skills:
2+ years of experience with programming in PC-DMIS with CMMs.
Deep knowledge and understanding of metrology software such as PC-DMIS, PolyWorks, Volume Graphics, and Calypso.
Extensive knowledge of first article inspections, dimensional analysis and CAD comparisons.

Customer-centric and entrepreneurial minded
Deep knowledge and understanding of CT, CMM, and laser scanning operation
Ability to work with a team and key clients
Ability and willingness to work 40 hours (and overtime as needed) to meet customer demands and schedules
Ability and willingness to fly and/or drive to job sites
Access to personal cell phone with data plan for connection to company email and multi-factor authentication
Ability to lift 60 pounds
Clean driving record and ability to pass a background check and drug screening
Up to 50% travel
