About this role
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Travel between assigned properties to perform routine inspections and maintenance.
- Operate, monitor, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC equipment, including air handlers, chillers, package units, and related systems.
- Perform preventative maintenance on electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and life safety systems.
- Respond promptly to service requests and emergency maintenance situations.
- Inspect buildings for operational deficiencies and recommend corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, logs, and work orders.
- Assist with vendor coordination and oversight of contracted services
- Perform minor carpentry, painting, and general building repairs as needed.
- Ensure compliance with safety programs, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Support energy management initiatives and identify opportunities for operational efficiencies.
- Participate in an on-call rotation and respond to after-hours emergencies when required.
- Maintain inventory of tools, supplies, and replacement parts.
Qualifications:
Education
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Technical school or vocational training in HVAC, electrical, or mechanical systems preferred.
Experience
- 3+ years of commercial building maintenance or engineering experience.
- Experience working with multiple building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and controls.
- Experience servicing multiple sites or mobile engineering roles preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong understanding of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Knowledge of building automation systems (BAS) and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and mobile work-order applications.
