## Job Summary



To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Product Engineer located in Guadalajara, North Campus.
Reporting to the Product Engineer Manager , Product Engineer role involves Responsible for receiving, evaluating, cleaning, and customizing all technical information / documentation from the customer related to their product, derived from a New Product Introduction (NPI) or a design change to establish all necessary processes to manufacture it by maintaining its design and performance integrity.
What a typical day looks like:
- Handle product transfer and new product set up.
- Support production by assessing product engineering issues of diverse scope that arise on production line.
- Suggest improvements to process to obtain improved quality and production yield.
- Solve product related problems and perform failure evaluation related to product issues.
- Interact with customer and various departments on product related issues
- Work with design team to resolve design related issues.
- Suggest modification to work instructions, material, or product changes to ensure excellent quality of products.
- Customer´s Bill of Material (BOM) evaluation and structure definition for production
- Functional Product Documentation review
- Safety Requirements and regulations compliance identification
- Engineering Drawings Interpretation of parts and assemblies.
- Request customer for drawing corrections, additions, clarification, measurements methods
- Manage Engineering Changes Implementation
- Conduct Design for Manufacturing (DFM), tolerance evaluation, Design of Experiment (DOE), form-fit-function to define failure root/cause evaluation and reporting to customer
- Provide support to supply chain to integrate parts derived from the vertical integration or localization effort
- Provide product training to the manufacturing/process engineers for better understanding of the product.
- Request, handle and administrate golden samples, engineering samples of final product and/or piece parts
- Establish, operate, and maintain a standard method for technical information interchange with the customer to control and preserve information of NPI transferred projects
- Inspection of customer product parts and assemblies through model files using Computer-aided Design (CAD) system
- Evaluate and identify course of action of Product Change Notification (PCN) and Manufacturing Change Order (MCO)
- Ability to take additional responsibilities of the Manufacturing Engineer depending on the size and complexity of the customer product
The experience we’re looking to add to our team:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field.
- Advanced English proficiency.
- Experience supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) and product transfer activities in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong experience troubleshooting engineering and production-related issues on the manufacturing floor.
- Proven ability to drive process improvements focused on quality, yield, and operational efficiency.
- Experience conducting failure analysis, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
- Strong knowledge of Design for Manufacturability (DFM), Design of Experiments (DOE), and tolerance analysis.
- Experience working with Bills of Materials (BOMs), Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), and product documentation.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and assembly documentation.
- Familiarity with product change management processes, including PCN (Product Change Notification) and MCO (Manufacturing Change Order).
- Experience using CAD tools to inspect, review, and validate parts and assemblies.
- Knowledge of product safety requirements, regulatory standards, and compliance requirements.
- Experience collaborating with design, manufacturing, supply chain, quality, and cross-functional teams.
- Ability to interface directly with customers and provide technical support.
- Experience supporting component localization and supply chain integration activities.
- Ability to develop and deliver technical training to manufacturing and process engineering teams.
- Experience managing engineering samples and Golden Samples.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience in electronics manufacturing, PCBA, EMS, or high-volume manufacturing environments is preferred.
