About this role

Responsibilities
Reporting to the Team Lead of AML Compliance under AML Compliance and Assurance, Risk & Control Team, COO Office of Institutional Banking Group, to ensure Corporate Banking (IBG) staff are in full compliance with internal AML risk and compliance policies / standards, external regulations and industrys best practices.

- As an AML Champion, answering enquiries from IBG colleagues, or assisting frontline on AML/CFT related enquiries
- Providing country feedbacks to the revisions to local and Group AML/CFT CDD standards and AML/CFT systems
- Updating the AML procedures and guidelines within IBG, enhancement of KYC System concerning governance & controls matters
- Assisting in formulating internal workflow and recommendations for improvement with the relevant stakeholders related to AML/CFT updated policies and/or risk controls
- Reviewing, analyzing and communicating AML/CFT management information, and Reporting results of AML/CFT risk management reviews and identifying key areas of improvement
- Liaising with FCSS and Compliance with KYC process and AML monitoring
- Monitoring remedial actions for the identified deficiency in AML/CFT and risk controls that require remediation actions
- Evaluating and communicating new laws and regulations and staying abreast of the AML/CFT regulations, development, and industry practice, at both local and international levels
- Measuring and monitoring key risk indicators and issues to continuously improve AML control standards of IBG, and to report analysis and/or insight into the trend
- Preparing and facilitating risk & control self-assessment (RCSA) and ensuring there are appropriate rectifications and follow up actions

Requirements

- University degree in Law, Banking, Finance or business related
- Minimum 8 years relevant experience in banking industry, preferably AML/CDD/KYC related experience
- Sound knowledge of regulatory / statutory policies and industry best practices. Professional qualification (e.g. ACAMS) is an advantage
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven track record in frontline and risk and governance roles
- Proficiency in the use of data analytics and AI application
