Painter Blaster

The Role:

In this role, you will carry out abrasive blasting and the application of protective coatings on structural steel and plant equipment, ensuring high-quality surface preparation and coating standards are met.

- Long Term position

- 10 Hour Days

- Monday – Thursday

- DIDO – Local candidates only

- Day Shift only

- Casual / Full Time

Key Responsibilities:

- Performing abrasive blasting and industrial painting to specification

- Applying protective coatings using brush, roller, and spray methods

- Preparing surfaces in line with coating and blasting standards

- Operating and maintaining blasting and painting equipment

- Working safely at heights and in confined spaces

- Following site safety protocols, permits, and environmental controls

- Reading and interpreting job cards, data sheets, and work instructions

- Completing basic QA checks and reporting as required

- Collaborating with supervisors and trades across a high-performing team

About You – Successful Applicants Will Have:

- Minimum 3–5 years’ trade experience

- Working at Heights certification (within the last 2 years)

- Confined Space Entry certification (within the last 2 years)

- High Risk Work Licences – LF and WP (desirable)

- Current driver’s licence

- Ability to pass pre-employment medical and site-based requirements
