About this role
As a Finance & Accounting Specialist, you will take on a broad and diverse role within an international environment. You will be involved in everything from accounts payable and cash management to month-end closing, tax compliance, reporting, and audit support. You will work closely with colleagues, vendors, banks, tax experts, auditors, and international entities across the DEME Group.

### Your responsibilities
- Process and post supplier invoices while ensuring timely approvals and accurate accounting records.
- Manage vendor and intercompany communications, acting as a trusted point of contact for financial queries.
- Monitor vendor balances, perform account reconciliations, and follow up on outstanding items.
- Execute weekly payment runs and prepare payment files through our financial systems.
- Record bank transactions, monitor cash positions, and contribute to working capital reporting.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities, including accruals, prepayments, revaluations, and other journal entries.
- Review balance sheet accounts, general ledger transactions, budgets, and closing schedules to ensure financial accuracy.
- Prepare tax-related filings, including VAT, withholding tax, and corporate income tax support.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, tax specialists, banks, and international colleagues across our global network.
- Provide financial information and supporting documentation to internal and external auditors.
Your profile
- You hold a bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
- You have a solid understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.
- You are comfortable working in an international environment and communicating with stakeholders from different cultures and countries.
- You have excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
- You are analytical, accurate, and able to work in a structured manner.
- You take ownership, show initiative, and enjoy solving problems.
- You have a positive, can-do mindset and are motivated to continuously learn and grow.
- Experience with ERP systems and financial software is considered an asset.
- You are able to work on-site from our office in Duqm, Oman, and enjoy collaborating closely with colleagues in a team environment.
