Join our growing team as an Assistant Manager and play a key role in managing end-to-end invoice processing, strong experience into P2P (Procure-to-Pay) domain, stakeholder engagement, and client relationships. We are looking for professionals with strong P2P domain expertise, working knowledge of GST/TDS and audits, and experience in governance and team management. This is an excellent opportunity to work closely with clients, drive operational excellence, and lead high-impact business processes in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Accounting & Bookkeeping

- Review and oversee day-to-day bookkeeping, bank reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance for a portfolio of clients across sectors.
- Manage month-end and quarter-end closing activities, including accruals, provisions, and inter-company reconciliations.
- Prepare and review monthly/quarterly management reporting packages in line with client and TMF Group formats.
- Ensure books of accounts are maintained in accordance with Ind AS / applicable GAAP and client-specific accounting policies.

2. Direct & Indirect Tax Compliance

- Oversee preparation and timely filing of GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, annual returns) and reconciliations (GSTR-2B vs books).
- Manage TDS computation, deposit, and quarterly return filing (Form 24Q/26Q), and issuance of TDS certificates.
- Support computation of advance tax, corporate income tax provisioning, and preparation of income tax returns and tax audit schedules.
- Liaise with statutory auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities on assessments, notices, and queries.
- Monitor changes in direct and indirect tax law and assess impact on client compliance obligations.

3. Client & Stakeholder Management

- Serve as a primary day-to-day contact for assigned clients, ensuring service levels and deliverable timelines are met.
- Communicate proactively with clients on accounting and compliance matters, escalating complex technical issues to the Manager as needed.
- Support onboarding of new clients, including transition of accounting records and process documentation.

4. Team Leadership & Review

- Review work performed by Associates/Analysts, provide coaching, and ensure quality and accuracy of deliverables.
- Support resourcing and workflow planning across the assigned client portfolio.
- Contribute to on-the-job training and technical upskilling of junior team members.

5. Process, Risk & Continuous Improvement

- Ensure adherence to internal quality standards, documentation requirements, and engagement risk protocols.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency through process standardization and use of accounting/ERP systems.
- Maintain accurate working papers and support internal and external audit requirements.

6. Skills & Competencies

- Strong technical knowledge of Indian accounting standards and direct/indirect tax regulations.
- Hands-on proficiency with accounting/ERP systems (e.g., Tally, SAP, Oracle, MS Dynamics) and advanced MS Excel.
- Strong review and analytical skills, with attention to detail and accuracy under deadline pressure.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain technical matters clearly to clients.
- Proven ability to lead, coach, and review the work of junior team members.
- Well organized, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple client deliverables in parallel.

Key Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field, coupled with 8-10 years of progressive experience in accounting, taxation, compliance, and financial operations.
- CA/CMA-qualified candidates with 1-2 years of post-qualification experience in accounting, taxation, financial reporting, and statutory compliance are also encouraged to apply.
- Exposure to shared services, outsourced service delivery, consulting firms, or multinational organizations is preferred.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, direct and indirect taxation, regulatory compliance requirements, and stakeholder management.
