A a Junior Depositary Services Officer , you will support the day-to-day delivery of depositary services for Private Equity, Real Estate, Debt, and other alternative investment structures. You will be involved in asset safekeeping activities, transaction review, client onboarding, AML/KYC and due diligence processes, as well as depositary oversight controls. You will also work closely with internal teams, fund administrators, AIFMs, and clients on operational and depositary-related matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the day-to-day delivery of depositary services for Private Equity, Real Estate, Debt, and other alternative investment structures.
- Maintain legal ownership records and review supporting documentation as part of asset safekeeping activities.
- Review fund transactions and underlying investments from an ownership and documentation perspective.
- Assist with the client onboarding, AML/KYC reviews, and ongoing due diligence processes.
- Support depositary oversight controls, including NAV reviews and monitoring of investment restrictions and leverage limits.
- Prepare reports, control evidence, and documentation for internal reviews, audits, and regulatory inspections.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders, fund administrators, AIFMs, and clients on operational and despoitary-related matters.
- Participate in client meetings and onsite visits when required.
Key Requirements
- Degree in Law or Finance.
- 1 to 2 years of experience within the financial services industry.
- Exposure to Private Equity, Real Estate, Alternative Investment Funds, or Depositary Services would be considered an advantage.
- Fluent in English, with French and/or Spanish and/or German considered an asset.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to document complex matters in a structured manner.
- Proactive, hands-on, and solution-oriented mindset.
- Comfortable working in a multicultural environment.
- Basic accounting knowledge would be considered an asset.
- Motivated, detail-oriented, and well-organised.
