Archirodon has been awarded a major Oil & Gas EPC project in UAE, and is currently building a team of experienced Commissioning Engineer, who will be based in our site Office.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

- Plan, prepare, and execute  electrical pre-commissioning and commissioning activities  as per project procedure, ADNOC standards, and applicable IEC codes.
- Review  single line diagrams, control schematics, cable schedules, and electrical layouts  to confirm readiness for commissioning.
- Conduct  inspection, testing, and energization  of electrical systems including  transformers, switchgear (LV/MV/HV), MCCs, motors, UPS, lighting, and earthing systems .
- Lead/Perform insulation resistance, continuity, functional, and interlock testing  and maintain proper test records.
- Coordinate with design, construction, and instrumentation teams to ensure  system completion and punch list closure .
- Ensure  safe energization  of electrical equipment following company and ADNOC  Permit-to-Work (PTW) procedures .
- Supervise subcontractor commissioning teams, ensuring compliance with project safety and quality standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical system faults during pre-commissioning and commissioning phases.
- Prepare and submit  commissioning reports, test packs, red-line drawings, and turnover documentation .
- Support the  handover process  to the Operations team and assist during performance testing.
- System energization of major  substations and MCCs , coordination of high-voltage switching operations, and integrated testing with PLC/DCS systems prior to plant start-up.

Knowledge & Skills:

- In-depth understanding of  power distribution systems, protection, and control schemes .
- Proficiency in  electrical testing procedures , including primary/secondary injection, relay configuration, and motor solo run testing.
- Good command of  IEC, IEEE, and ADNOC electrical standards .
- Nice-to-have: Familiarity with  SCMS , SCADA integration, and system turnover software’s.
- Familiar with  test equipment  such as megger, primary/secondary injection kits, relay test set, and multi-meter’s etc

- Proactive team player with strong problem-solving and leadership skills.
- Able to coordinate across multidisciplinary teams under tight deadlines.
- Safety-oriented mindset and disciplined documentation habit.
- Effective communicator—capable of technical reporting and vendor liaison.

IT / Software Skills:

- Proficient in MS Office, Electrical Testing Tools (OMICRON/Doble software), and CMS/Commissioning tracking systems.
- Basic knowledge of AutoCAD for red-line updates is beneficial.

Languages:

- English –  Full Professional Proficiency .

Qualifications

Qualifications & Experience:

- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from a recognized university.
- ADNOC-approved or equivalent certification in commissioning or HV/LV safety will be an advantage.
- Recognized training in  Electrical Safety, Lockout–Tagout (LOTO), and PTW systems  preferred.
- Essential: Minimum  10–12 years ’ experience in electrical commissioning within  Oil & Gas, Power Generation, or Petrochemical projects .
- Experience with EPC or PMC contractors under ADNOC, QP, or Aramco projects preferred.
- Proven background in  field execution, system energization, and documentation control .
