Job Summary

Responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of heavy-duty trucks and trailers, ensuring efficient workflow, high-quality workmanship, and excellent customer service.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge, excellent leadership and management skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Duties and Responsibilities;

- Overseeing the daily management of DSR Fleet’s workshop and its operations, which includes fostering team productivity, inventory management, quality fleet maintenance, people engagement/management and zero level of down time in workshop equipment’s.

- Supervise, manage, and motivate staff within the operation of the workshop to achieve quality results. o Ensure the availability and use of the right tools and equipment in the maintenance workshop.

- Establish safe procedures (SOPs) for all maintenance repair work of the company.

- Prioritize and assign scheduled work to subordinates to meet company deadlines and customer needs.

- Coordinate schedule and audit transport fleet and equipment maintenances and repair to include preventive mechanical and electrical repair to tractors trucks and trailers.

- Reduce fleet downtime by providing speedy rescue to distressed company trucks and equipment Negotiate service (maintenance/repair) offers to ensure cost efficiencies.

- Coach technical team on the identification of faults and ways of reporting feedback.

- Ensure that repairs are performed in a professional manner and in accordance with company’s accepted good practice.

- Accomplishes workshop team results by communicating job expectations, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.

- Facilitating corrections to malfunctions; initiating and fostering a spirit of cooperation amongst workshop team members.

- Liaise with Human Resources to conduct safety meetings with the workshop team.

- Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.

- Keeps equipment operational by coordinating maintenance and repair services.

Job Requirement:

- BSc / HND in Mechanical Engineering

- 10+ Years Cognate Experience in Fleet maintenance/Heavy Duty Truck Maintenance

- NSE / COREN
