BUTCHERY ASSISTANT
Babylonstoren is looking for a reliable, hardworking and motivated Butchery Assistant to join our team.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with daily butchery and production activities
- Pack, weigh and label meat products according to specifications
- Ensure all products are packed neatly, accurately and to a high standard
- Assist with stock handling, stock rotation and storage
- Prepare packaging materials, equipment and work areas for production
- Maintain a clean, organised and hygienic working environment
- Follow all food-safety, hygiene and workplace-safety procedures
- Support the butchery team with general production duties as required
Requirements
- Previous experience in a butchery, food-production or packing environment will be advantageous
- Willingness to learn and work effectively as part of a team
- Good attention to detail
- Reliable, punctual and able to follow instructions
- Physically fit and comfortable working in a cold environment
- Strong commitment to cleanliness, hygiene and product quality
- Willingness to work flexible hours when required
