Job Requirements
Position Summary
Responsible for the maintenance, repair and proper operation of all hospital, mechanical equipment.
Equipment includes compressors, pumps, boilers, plumbing, door and locks, sterilizers and some
minor electrical.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
High school graduate or equivalent
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Five years experience in plumbing trade.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES and/or REGISTRATIONS
Current City of Spartanburg Master Card or Contractors License or Associates degree
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to withstand demands and stress of position.
Must be able to make decisions clearly and quickly.
Must be able to withstand standing, walking, bending, lifting and moving equipment.
Manual dexterity, good hand to eye coordination and good vision.
Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
Must be able to work as a team member with peers and other department employees.
Must be able to respond calmly in crisis situation.
Must be able to climb/stand on ladders to work in ceilings.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
