Structural Engineer Intern - Summer 2027

Excellent internship opportunity with a nationally recognized forensic structural consulting firm based in our Chicago area office. We are looking for a motivated, committed, and enthusiastic candidate interested in working with experienced structural engineers to solve challenging problems.

Responsibilities

- Forensic investigation and analysis
- Laboratory and field testing
- Analysis of structural components and systems
- Repair design and detail development

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree (or near completion) in Civil Engineering / Structures
- Intend to pursue master's degree in Civil Engineering / Structures
- Excellent writing, communication, and leadership skills
- Strong analytical ability
- Ability to travel and perform field work including working at heights
- Interest in pursuing profession in forensic engineering
- This position is not eligible for employment visa sponsorship.
