Platform Engineer – Identity Governance (SailPoint ISC)

We are seeking a hands-on Platform Engineer to expand and mature our identity governance capabilities in SailPoint Identity Security Cloud (ISC) . This role will improve IAM hygiene and evolve applications already onboarded to SailPoint from basic identity provisioning to scalable, role-based access controls, access certifications, automated request workflows, and auditable governance.
What You’ll Do
- Enhance SailPoint ISC integrations and lifecycle workflows for applications already in scope.
- Progress applications from basic provisioning to role-based access control (RBAC) , access profiles, birthright access, and periodic access certifications.
- Improve identity and entitlement data quality, including ownership, naming, lifecycle status, and orphaned access remediation.
- Streamline access-request experiences and approval workflows across ServiceNow and SailPoint ISC.
- Enable and operationalize just-in-time (JIT) and time-bound access patterns where appropriate.
- Establish governance standards and controls for sanctioned non-human identities (service accounts, application accounts, API identities) and emerging AI-agent identities.
- Partner with application teams, Identity Operations, Cloud Engineering, and Security Governance to define access models and implement practical controls.
- Build and maintain automation, documentation, monitoring, and evidence needed for reliable operations and audits.
- Troubleshoot integration, provisioning, and access-governance issues and drive them to resolution.
What You Bring
- Experience administering, configuring, or engineering identity solutions, preferably SailPoint ISC / IdentityNow .
- Hands-on experience with identity lifecycle management, provisioning, access requests, RBAC, certifications, and entitlement governance.
- Familiarity with SailPoint integrations/connectors, APIs, workflows, transforms, and automation.
- Experience integrating IAM processes with ServiceNow .
- Working knowledge of cloud identity, privileged access, service accounts, API credentials, and non-human identity governance.
- Strong understanding of IAM fundamentals, including least privilege, segregation of duties, joiner-mover-leaver processes, and audit controls.
- Ability to work independently in a remote, cross-functional environment and translate governance requirements into practical technical solutions.
- Strong written communication and documentation skills.
Preferred
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Familiarity with scripting and automation using Python, PowerShell, JavaScript, REST APIs, or CI/CD tooling.
- Experience supporting compliance, audit evidence, access reviews, or security-control assessments.
- Exposure to JIT access, privileged access management, and AI-agent or workload identity governance.
