HRCs Architecture Department works on a wide variety of projects and has continued to grow over the years, expanding both the types and scale of projects we undertake. Description of Ideal Candidate:
A competent, motivated architectural professional who is passionate about the built environment. The ideal candidate enjoys teamwork involving multiple disciplines, a self-starter who is adaptable and willing to regularly learn new skills. They should possess a strong work ethic, discipline, professionalism, strong organizational skills and a desire to grow individually as well as the desire to grow and develop a team.
Required Experience and Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Architecture or Associate in Architectural Engineering. Working towards Masters of Architecture preferred.
- 1-5 years of professional experience
- Experience in industrial, commercial or municipal projects preferred
- Proficiency in current versions of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of Revit and Adobe Design Suite is a plus
- Working towards licensure in the State of Michigan is a plus
Responsibilities:
- Reports to the Project Manager in charge of the assigned project
- Work in support of architectural design and development of projects (CAD, code research and application, product research and application, cost estimating and application of other programs & technology)
- Client interaction for review of design and planning concepts
- Prepare design development and construction documents, including details and specifications
- Construction administration, including shop drawing review, RFIs and job site observation
- Provide external communications via telephone calls and/or email, and prepare correspondence as required by various projects
- Communicate with consultants and manufacturers
- Prepare 2-D and 3-D color renderings of design concepts
