The Commercial Laundry Specialist 3, under limited supervision performs moderately complex laundry/linen services within an industrial laundry facility. This position is a subject matter expert and may lead employee teams.
· Leads teams of employees and is considered a subject matter expert providing guidance, support and mentorship. May assume responsibility during management absence.
· Trains new hires in all tasks, workflows, safety precautions, and established policies and procedures to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.\n
· Prepares work areas, stages workflows and monitors quality.
· Works in to provide relief and support to production areas for vacations, absences, or other reasons.
· Operates industrial sized machines to launder, iron, and fold various textiles. Builds loads reading written packing requirements and places the correct type and number of product into the appropriate route carts/bins for delivery or storage.
· Clean and sanitize work area including machines, worktables and sorting areas.
· Responsible for the safe and proper use of cleaning solutions while adhering to all safety precautions and wearing personal protective equipment when necessary. Follows infection control and universal precautions policies and procedures to ensure that a sanitary environment is achieved at all times.
· Report equipment/cleaning product needs and or malfunctions to supervisor in a timely fashion.
· Handles difficult questions, issues, and problems requiring independent judgment.
· Assists Management with procedures and policies.
· Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- Experience: 2 years relevant experience.
