Job Summary/Description:

Do you have a relentless drive to uncover the truth and a network of contacts that would make a private investigator jealous? Arizonas Family is looking for an aggressive, experienced Investigative Reporter who doesn't just wait for stories to break — you break them. We need a storyteller who can expose wrongdoing in local and state government, dive deep into data to spot trends before anyone else, and deliver it all with the kind of dynamic energy that keeps Arizonans glued to their screens (all of them). If youre ready to own the big story and make a real impact in the Valley, lets talk.

Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

What Youll Do:
Enterprise exclusive investigations: Dig deep to uncover long- and short-term stories that matter specifically to our Arizona community.
Own the multi-platform approach: Dont just "do TV" — craft your stories for streaming, social, and digital first, ensuring our audience gets the facts wherever they are.
Expose wrongdoing: Hold local and state officials accountable through aggressive reporting and meticulous research.
Analyze the data: Use data-driven insights to identify trends and provide context that makes complex issues relatable and relevant.
Lead big-story coverage: Jump into major breaking news with authority, providing the investigative "why" behind the "what."
Collaborate for impact: Work closely with the News Director, Senior Producer of Special Projects, and our marketing team to ensure your stories reach the widest possible audience.
Build and maintain your network: Cultivate a deep bench of sources and contacts to ensure a steady stream of exclusive, high-stakes content.

What You Bring:
A proven track record: Youve spent years in the trenches of investigative journalism and have the "receipts" to prove it.
Dynamic delivery: You dont just read a script; you command the screen with energy and urgency that connects with viewers.
A digital-first mindset: You understand that a great investigation needs a strategy for every platform, from a 30-second social clip to a deep-dive streaming special.
Solid work ethic: Youre the first one in and the last one out when a story is breaking—you thrive on the grind.
Relatability: You have a knack for taking complex investigations and making them matter to the person sitting in traffic on the I-10.
Aggressive curiosity: You aren't satisfied with the surface level; you keep digging until you find the truth.
Technical savvy: Youre comfortable using data tools and modern newsroom technology to enhance your storytelling.

Why Youll Love It Here:
Real community impact: Your work will directly influence and inform the people of Arizona, making our community a better place.
Innovation-led environment: At Arizonas Family, were evolving on purpose — youll have the tools and the freedom to tell stories in new, exciting ways.
A team of pros: Work alongside some of the best journalists in the business who are just as passionate about the truth as you are.
The Gray Media advantage: Be part of a company that values local news and invests in the future of multi-platform storytelling.
