Quality Assurance Engineer Job Description The Quality Assurance Engineer develops, implements, and manages robust quality practices to ensure that products and processes consistently meet defined specifications and standards. This role leads cross-functional lean initiatives, oversees quality systems and certifications, and drives continuous improvement across multiple facilities. The position requires close collaboration with internal teams, suppliers, and leadership to enhance product quality, process efficiency, and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities

- Develop, implement, and manage quality practices that ensure products and processes adhere to established specifications, standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct internal quality audits to identify nonconformities, areas for improvement, and ensure ongoing compliance with quality requirements.
- Lead cross-functional lean projects focused on standardizing, stabilizing, and simplifying production processes across multiple facilities.
- Drive lean implementation to improve operational efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance overall business processes.
- Manage the company’s quality management systems, providing clear leadership and direction to senior management and the broader organization.
- Coordinate, prepare, and lead the organization in obtaining and maintaining quality-related certifications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for continuous improvement in quality processes and systems.
- Implement best practices to enhance overall product quality, process efficiency, and operational performance.
- Provide training to employees on quality standards, processes, procedures, and quality management system requirements.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning, accountability, and improvement within the quality function and across the organization.
- Analyze quality data and metrics to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement in products and processes.
- Prepare and present clear, data-driven reports to senior management on the performance and effectiveness of quality systems.
- Collaborate with suppliers to establish, communicate, and maintain quality standards for incoming materials and components.
- Conduct regular assessments and audits of suppliers to ensure adherence to agreed quality requirements and drive corrective actions when needed.
- Monitor customer feedback related to product quality and use this information to identify root causes and improvement opportunities.
- Implement corrective and preventive actions to address quality issues and enhance overall customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Essential Skills

- Proven experience in quality management, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of quality management systems and quality standards, including the ability to develop, implement, and maintain quality processes and SOPs.
- Hands-on experience with quality assurance, quality control, and quality management system practices.
- Experience applying lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies to production or business processes.
- Strong understanding of quality-related regulations and certifications and the processes required to obtain and maintain them.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly present quality findings, reports, and recommendations to senior management and cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrated leadership skills, including the ability to influence, guide, and support teams in adopting quality and lean practices.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and stakeholders to resolve quality issues and drive improvements.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Elk Grove Village, IL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $33.65 - $43.27/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job
classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be
