Liberty Moving & Storage is seeking an experienced Commercial Furniture Installer - Assembler. This hands-on position supports commercial furniture installation, office reconfiguration, Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment (FF&E), and relocation projects throughout New York City and the tristate area.
Projects may take place in corporate offices, schools, healthcare facilities, laboratories, warehouses, and other commercial locations. We are looking for someone who takes pride in quality workmanship and works well as part of an installation crew.

Liberty Moving & Storage has been serving customers since 1939 and is a leading agent for United Van Lines. Our commercial division provides office furniture installation, warehousing, logistics, moving, and relocation services throughout the region.
Schedule
This position typically works Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Candidates must also be available for occasional early mornings, evenings, weekends, extended shifts, and overtime based on project requirements.
Responsibilities
- Assemble, disassemble, install, and reconfigure commercial office furniture
- Install workstations, desks, conference tables, seating, shelving, storage units, and modular furniture systems
- Work with different commercial furniture manufacturers and installation systems
- Install, adjust, and repair office fronts, partitions, and related components
- Read furniture layouts, measurements, installation instructions, and manufacturer specifications
- Unload, stage, transport, and organize furniture and project materials
- Support commercial moves, internal relocations, reconfigurations, and decommissions
- Protect customer property and maintain clean, organized job sites
- Inspect completed installations for quality, accuracy, and safety
- Follow all company, customer, building, and job-site safety requirements
Qualifications
- Five or more years of commercial furniture delivery, installation, or assembly experience preferred
- Familiarity with Steelcase, Herman Miller, Allsteel, Knoll, Systems Office Furniture, or similar manufacturers preferred
- Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and furniture installation equipment
- Ability to read measurements, furniture plans, and installation instructions
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Professional conduct and appearance at customer locations
- Dependable attendance and flexibility to work outside standard hours when required
- Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, bend, kneel, reach, climb, and remain physically active throughout the workday
