About this role

Help make change feel seamless.

When a new firm joins Savant, technology is one of the first ways its employees experience what it means to become part of our team. The accounts need to work. The equipment needs to arrive. Questions need thoughtful answers. Most importantly, people need to feel supported during a significant transition.

As our M&A Technology Integrations Specialist , you will help bring those pieces together. You will support technology integration projects from early planning through onsite implementation, helping newly joined team members transition to Savants systems with clarity, care, and confidence.

This is not a traditional help desk position or a deeply technical engineering role. It is a unique opportunity for someone who enjoys technology, takes pride in exceptional service, and wants to build experience in project coordination. You will work alongside experienced integration and technology professionals, follow established procedures and checklists, and receive training to grow your knowledge over time.

In this role, you can expect to focus in the following areas:

Create a welcoming technology experience

- Help new employees get ready for their first days with Savant by gathering information, creating accounts, configuring system access, and supporting software rollouts.

- Provide friendly, hands-on training and support to employees throughout the integration process.

- Monitor help desk requests from newly joined team members, resolve routine issues, and connect employees with the appropriate technology resource when additional expertise is needed.

- Assist with mobile-device setup, printer deployment, and basic technical troubleshooting.

- Keep employees informed, set clear expectations, and take ownership of requests through resolution.

Keep important integration work moving

- Track assigned tasks, milestones, schedules, and outstanding action items.

- Maintain accurate project plans, trackers, system records, procedures, and checklists.

- Gather information from legacy technology environments to support transition planning.

- Help coordinate vendor transitions and follow up on outstanding activities.

- Communicate progress clearly so the team understands what has been completed, what is still needed, and where support may be required.

Support onsite technology cutovers

- Coordinate the ordering, staging, preparation, and shipping of technology equipment.

- Install or supervise the installation of computers and peripherals.

- Assist with networking equipment, endpoint connectivity, conference-room technology, printers, and testing.

- Help ensure Savants technology standards, change-control requirements, and documented processes are followed.

- Travel to newly joined locations to support onsite technology transitions, which may occasionally require evening or weekend work.

A couple things to note about our M&A Technology Integrations Specialist position:

- Location: We are initially focusing on candidates within the Rockford, Chicago, Madison, and Milwaukee corridor, including surrounding communities. Proximity to Rockford is preferred because occasional in-person collaboration, training, equipment preparation, and other hands-on responsibilities will take place at our headquarters.

- Work model: This is a flexible position with periodic in-person work in Rockford. Daily office attendance is not expected, but candidates should be able to travel to Rockford when business needs require.

- Travel: Domestic travel is an important part of the role. A typical schedule may include approximately one onsite technology cutover per month, generally lasting four to five days. Travel may occasionally occur more frequently depending on business needs.

- Schedule: Technology cutovers can include evening and weekend work. A common onsite schedule may run from Thursday through Monday or Tuesday.

- Employment status: Full-time and currently listed as exempt in the position description. Final compensation and classification details will be discussed during the recruiting process.

Qualifications

The M&A Technology Integrations Specialist position typically requires the following qualifications:

We are especially interested in candidates who bring:

- A customer-service mindset and a genuine interest in helping others.

- Clear, professional written and verbal communication.

- Strong organization, time management, and attention to detail.

- Dependable follow-through and the ability to communicate proactively when priorities or timelines change.

- Comfort learning new systems, tools, and technical processes.

- An analytical, process-oriented approach to assignments and problem-solving.

- The ability to follow established procedures while using sound judgment.

- Comfort working closely with team members on detailed, multi-step projects.

- An interest in technology, project coordination, or both.

- The ability and willingness to travel and occasionally work outside standard business hours.

- A valid drivers license, reliable transportation, and evidence of automobile insurance.

An associates degree in business, information technology, or a related field is required, and a bachelors degree is preferred. Two or more years of related technology or project coordination experience is also preferred. However, any equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience will be considered.

Experience in help desk support, technical support, IT coordination, technology operations, project coordination, implementation, employee onboarding, or another process-driven service role could translate well to this opportunity.

Advanced engineering knowledge and formal project management credentials are not required. A CAPM or similar certification may be helpful, but the role is designed for someone who is ready to learn, contribute, and continue developing over time.

You may be a great fit if:

- You enjoy technology, but the part you value most is helping people use it successfully.

- You are the person others trust to keep track of details and close the loop.

- You believe that good service includes both solving the problem and keeping people informed.

- You like clear processes, but you can remain resourceful when an integration does not go exactly as planned.

- You are energized by variety and would enjoy supporting different locations and teams.

- You want exposure to project management without stepping immediately into a traditional project manager position.

- You take ownership of your work and care about the experience you create for others.
