About this role

JOB SUMMARY:
Provides leadership and support for the newly implemented campus wide event registration process. Assists in the management and coordination of all functions in the Reservation Services area in Campus Reservations Events. Provides training support and supervision for student staff. Other duties as assigned

JOB DUTIES:
25% - Guest Services Support:
Manages the daily operation of the Guest Services Desk including assistance with trainings, scheduling and day-to-day support for student employees. Assists clients and guests with reservation requests, venue inquiries and general concerns/questions. Serves as the liaison between CR&E clients and campus partners for approvals when necessary. Main point of contact for VIP clients that does not require working with Event Services.

20% - Student Supervision:
Actively involved in the hiring, training, evaluation and assist with the supervision of student staff members. Creates, implements and manages trainings that ensure that all student staff members are appropriately prepared to be successful in their assigned roles which may include 25Live, Facility Use Policy, department polices and procedures, customer service, expectations, etc.

15% - Support with Campus Partnerships:
Provides leadership and support as Campus Reservations & Events creates new partnerships across campus to expand reservations and event coordination, i.e. reservations in academic buildings during non-class times.

10% - Departmental:
Serves as a member of Campus Reservations & Events staff by meeting regularly with supervisor, attending staff meetings, retreats and participating in departmental committees. Supports departments reporting and assessment efforts. Actively assists Director and Associate Director in developing strategic short and long-term plans.

30% - Campus Event Registration Process:
Assists in coordinating & managing the process for CR&E to serve as the central hub for all campus event registration. Establishes consistent communication, trainings and partnerships with representatives across campus to implement guidelines/expectations for event registration. Works with campus partners in creating and implementing efficient notification and communication practices regarding registered events.

Minimum Requirements:

A bachelor's degree and relevant program experience.

Not responsible for supervising employees.

BUDGETARY RESPONSIBILITIES
No fiscal responsibility for the department's budget.

COMPENSATION INFORMATION:

Expected Salary Range
45300 - 47940
Salary is dependent upon several factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's previous experience, knowledge, skills and performance in accordance with Clemson's compensation guidelines.

ESSENTIAL PERSONNEL LEVEL:
Normal Operations - Required to follow emergency facility closure and modified operations directives, and not normally expected to work on-site during emergency situations.
