What You'll Do

As a Paramedic, you will provide advanced life support care, assess patient needs, and safely transport patients while maintaining the highest standards of clinical excellence and customer service.

Responsibilities include:

- Providing emergency and non-emergency patient care and transportation

- Assessing, treating, and monitoring patients in accordance with established protocols

- Administering medications and advanced clinical interventions within scope of practice

- Collaborating with healthcare professionals, first responders, and receiving facilities

- Completing accurate and timely patient care documentation

- Maintaining ambulance readiness, cleanliness, and equipment accountability

- Ensuring compliance with all safety, operational, and clinical standards

- Participating in ongoing education and professional development opportunities

Clinical Environment

Team members may have opportunities to care for a diverse patient population, including:

- Emergency and urgent patient transports

- Interfacility transfers

- Critical care transports

- Hospital discharges and specialty patient movements

Equipment & Technology

Our crews are supported with advanced medical equipment and technology, including:

- Stryker PowerPro XT powered cots

- Physio-Control LIFEPAK 15 cardiac monitors

- Sapphire infusion pumps

- Ventec VOCSN ventilators

- Vapotherm high-flow therapy systems

- Video laryngoscopy equipment

- iGel airway devices

- Electronic patient care reporting (ePCR)

Qualifications

Required:

- High School Diploma or GED

- Current Texas Paramedic certification

- Current BLS certification

- Current ACLS certification

- Valid Texas Driver's License with an acceptable driving record

Preferred:

- PALS certification (or ability to obtain within a designated timeframe)

- Previous EMS or critical care transport experience

Physical Requirements

- Ability to lift and move patients and equipment safely, with or without assistance

- Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, reaching, and climbing

- Ability to work in varying environmental and weather conditions

- Ability to perform duties in high-stress and physically demanding situations
