About this role
Summary
Under direct supervision from assigned CNM Ingenuity Director or Manager, develops and presents short courses and/or workshops, providing personal and/or professional education. Specifically performs one or more of the following: Teaches short-term courses and workshops; creates curriculum; establishes and assesses student performance objectives; determines student grades and keeps accurate records. Mix of theoretical and practical sessions will be required to demonstrate student level of knowledge and understanding. A successful candidate will be a Information Technology multidiscipline individual to support multiple concentrations and our various non-credit programs. Qualifications
Essential Knowledge and Skills
- Demonstrated knowledge of Information Technology
- Demonstrated teaching or training skills.
- Effective written and communication skills.
- Exceptional customer service abilities.
- Ability to adjust and adapt curriculum and teaching styles to meet the needs of various stakeholders and students.
- Additional assignments based on skills may become available.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimums
- Four years of industry or freelance experience (freelance experience to be demonstrated with portfolio review)
- OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field (may count as four years of experience)
- OR Current industry certifications may be accepted in lieu of experience.
- AND One (1) year of related teaching or training experience.
Preferences
- Current industry certifications such as CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Linux+, and CompTIA Security+
- Experience with JavaScript.
