The Purpose:

What you’ll do:

- Own software development end-to-end, from understanding requirements and shaping solutions through implementation, deployment, and operation in production across our key products and services.

- Take ownership of complex and ambiguous problems, independently driving them towards successful outcomes while involving the right stakeholders and adapting your approach as new information emerges.

- Be an integral part of the team’s culture and ways of working, continuously improving development processes and practices together with your colleagues based on data, feedback, and changing business needs.

- Use modern technologies and engineering practices to solve meaningful problems for our customers at significant scale, balancing solution quality, reliability, maintainability, and cost.

- Take full operational responsibility for the systems within the team’s scope, including reliability, security, risk management, and continuous improvement of the production environment.

- Shape technical direction by leading design discussions, challenging assumptions constructively, and contributing to architecture decisions across the team and wider engineering organisation.

- Share technical expertise, mentor colleagues, and actively contribute to engineering best practices, helping others grow while strengthening the capabilities of the team as a whole.

- Collaborate effectively across teams and functions, ensuring relevant stakeholders are involved, different perspectives are considered, and decisions are clearly communicated.

- Working proficiency in English.

- Confident experience with AI-augmented software development, using AI tools effectively while maintaining high standards for solution quality, security, maintainability, and cost efficiency. Ideally, you have hands-on experience with Claude Code.

- Accounting/Fintech Domain: Experience with—or a strong interest in—the complexities of accounting systems, financial data, or ledgers is a distinct advantage.

Technical Requirements:

- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with Java/Kotlin and JavaScript/TypeScript.

- Strong experience with modern frameworks such as Spring Boot and React, with the ability to make pragmatic technology and design decisions based on the problem at hand.

- Strong AWS experience, including designing and operating scalable, reliable, and cost-efficient cloud solutions using services such as SNS/SQS, Kinesis, and Lambda. Terraform experience is a plus.

- Experience designing and operating event-driven and microservice architectures, including patterns such as Anti-Corruption Layers, Event Sourcing, and CQRS.

- A strong understanding of the operational implications of architectural decisions, including reliability, security, observability, scalability, and cost.

- Ability to evaluate existing technical solutions critically, identify opportunities for improvement, and lead changes that increase the effectiveness of both systems and teams.
