MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Installation Engineer. This position is onsite in San Diego, CA.
The candidate will support teams performing installs, maintenance, repairs, overhauls, troubleshooting, and the tests of electrical, electronic, and/or mechanical equipment and related devices. The candidate will apply their technical knowledge to assist junior team members with the completion of assigned tasking.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Support team members and perform required communication equipment integration or installation of communication systems equipment, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and use of test equipment as required
- Performance of preventative maintenance and troubleshooting or assessment of electronic equipment
- Work alongside engineers to design, build and test solutions to a variety of technical problems
- Analyze operations and offer suggestions for improvement
- Perform field validations of various watercraft and equipment
- Perform work between customer sites, shore sites, and/or on ships
- Ability to travel CONUS/OCONUS
Minimum Requirements:
- Associates degree in a related field and 4+ years of experience, or High School Diploma and 6 years of experience
- Experience with test equipment such as: Spectrum Analyzers, Network Analyzers, Oscilloscopes, Optical analyzers, power meters, bench power supplies, or multimeters
- Experience with Department of Defense (DoD) services
- Technical experience with UPS (Uninterrupted Power Supply) panels
- Experience with fiber connectors
- Able to work with high frequency antennas
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with HF/VHF/UHF radio systems RF test equipment (oscilloscopes, power meters, spectrum analyzers), basic electronic principles, a firm knowledge of networking equipment, IP networking and sub-netting is required
- Experience with JIRA/Confluence
- NAVSEA Certified in Fiber Optic Termination
- Experience with HF/VHF/UHF installation/troubleshooting
- Experience with RF Connectors
- Tower Climber Certified
Clearance Requirements:
- US Citizenship required and an active Secret security clearance
- Must be eligible to get a CAC card
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry 50 Lbs.
- Work extensive time in stationary positions.
- Climb and descend ladders
The projected compensation range for this position is $98,000.00-$163,100.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
