Aston Carter is hiring a Receptionist! Job Description The Receptionist plans and delivers a wide range of administrative and front desk services to support employees and visitors while overseeing the presentation and day-to-day operations of a professional corporate office in Tampa. This role serves as the face of the office, ensuring a polished, welcoming environment and providing reliable support to leadership and the broader team. Responsibilities
- Welcome visitors to the office in a professional, courteous manner and validate parking cards when applicable.
- Maintain office security by following established procedures, ensuring visitors are signed in and issued proper badges.
- Distribute incoming mail and manage all incoming and outgoing mail and packages with carriers.
- Ensure the tidiness and professional appearance of meeting rooms, mail room, breakroom, reception area, and other office spaces.
- Conduct regular safety walks throughout the office to help maintain a safe and orderly environment.
- Report maintenance issues within the office suite by logging repair requests with property management in a timely manner.
- Perform office services functions by monitoring office supply inventory levels, placing new orders, and verifying related invoices.
- Ensure office equipment is properly maintained and that applicable leases are negotiated and renewed on schedule.
- Provide support to the HR team, which may include preparing information in Excel or Word documents, ordering business cards, and arranging employee name plates.
- Manage offsite employee parking arrangements as well as changes related to building parking.
- Support the leadership team with calendar management, including scheduling meetings, coordinating conference room usage, and handling document requests.
- Coordinate and support on-site meetings by arranging catering, supplies, and other logistical needs.
- Represent the office professionally with visitors, vendors, delivery personnel, and employees at all levels of the organization.
- Maintain a calm, organized front desk presence that contributes to a low-stress, efficient office environment.
Essential Skills
- Strong professional communication skills, with the ability to provide clear, concise information and represent the office with executive presence.
- Customer service–oriented mindset with strong listening skills and a friendly, welcoming demeanor.
- Experience working in a front desk or receptionist role, including greeting guests, managing visitor flow, and handling office coordination.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Comfort using Outlook for calendar management, including scheduling meetings and coordinating conference room logistics.
- Solid organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, maintain order, and support a professional office environment.
- Interpersonal skills that support positive interactions with visitors, vendors, delivery personnel, and employees at all levels.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience ordering office supplies and catering and verifying related invoices.
- Ability to maintain office equipment and coordinate with property management for repairs and lease renewals.
- Comfort preparing basic documents and information in Excel and Word.
- Confidence and poise in serving as the face of the office and interacting regularly with leadership and management.
- Interest in a long-term, stable receptionist role with opportunities to grow within a professional front desk environment.
Schedule he schedule is a stable 32-hour workweek with no Fridays, supporting strong work-life balance.

This is a Contract position based out of Tampa, FL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
