About this role
We’re looking for skilled and experienced Senior Mechanical Engineers who enjoy hands-on work, technical problem-solving, and taking full responsibility for equipment packages. As a consultant for our client, you’ll contribute to exciting LNG, LNG FSRU, LPG, biogas, gas plant, and vessel-conversion projects.
- Location: Asker, Norway
- Other possible locations: Gdynia/Gdańsk, Poland, or Kalmar, Sweden
- Contract duration: The duration will depend on your experience, skills, order intake and which assignment best matches your profile.
- Start date: As soon as possible
- Working arrangement: Five days onsite or posibilty for Hybrid
- Eligibility: Candidates must already be based in one of the listed locations and have valid authorization to work in the relevant country.
What You’ll Do
You will take full responsibility for assigned mechanical equipment - from the first specification through purchasing, testing, and delivery.
Your main tasks will include:
- Preparing equipment specifications, datasheets, and technical documents
- Selecting static and rotating equipment
- Reviewing supplier offers and supporting purchasing activities
- Preparing and following up on purchase orders
- Working with customers, suppliers, class societies, and engineering teams
- Reviewing supplier documents and following up on manufacturing and delivery
- Supporting factory testing, installation, commissioning, and start-up
What You Bring
- Senior-level experience in mechanical engineering
- Hands-on experience with static or rotating equipment
- Experience with pressure vessels, heat exchangers, pumps, or compressors
- Experience from LNG, LPG, LNG FSRU, biogas, offshore, maritime, or process-industry projects
- Knowledge of equipment specifications, supplier documentation, and technical bid evaluations
- The ability to work independently and take full responsibility for your equipment
- Good written and spoken English
- A relevant engineering degree or equivalent practical experience
Experience with gas plant studies, vessel-conversion projects, factory acceptance testing, or commissioning would be an advantage.
