The Junior Accounting Executive will support day-to-day accounting operations, taxation compliance, vendor management, and financial reporting activities. The role requires ensuring accurate accounting records, timely statutory compliance, and support for audits and reconciliations in a fast-paced consumer electronics and e-commerce environment.

Key Responsibilities

Experience

0-2 years in Accounting, Taxation and Finance Operations

Accounting Operations

- Pass accounting entries and maintain books of accounts.
- Process vendor invoices and employee reimbursements.
- Perform Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) reconciliations.
- Conduct bank, customer, and vendor reconciliations on a periodic basis.
- Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closure activities.
- Verify accounting documents and ensure proper record maintenance.

Taxation & Compliance

- Prepare data for GST return filing (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, and reconciliations).
- Reconcile GST Input Tax Credit (ITC) with purchase registers.
- Assist in TDS calculation, deduction, payment, and return filing.
- Maintain taxation records and compliance trackers.
- Support statutory, tax, and internal audits by providing required documentation.

Business Support

- Reconcile transactions from e-commerce platforms and payment gateways.
- Assist in accounting for marketplace deductions, commissions, and returns.
- Support inventory-related accounting and reconciliation processes.
- Coordinate with procurement, logistics, and business teams for accounting queries.

Reporting & Controls

- Prepare MIS reports and account schedules.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
- Identify discrepancies and assist in process improvements.
- Support implementation of financial controls and documentation requirements.

Preferred Skills

- Exposure to e-commerce, retail, or consumer goods industry accounting.
- Knowledge of inventory accounting and vendor management.
- Understanding of month-end close processes.
- Ability to work in a dynamic and deadline-driven environment.

- Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

- Accuracy of accounting entries and reconciliations.
- Timely completion of GST and TDS compliance activities.
- Month-end closing adherence.
- Vendor reconciliation turnaround time.
- Audit observations and compliance adherence.
- MIS reporting accuracy and timeliness.

Key Requirements

- B.Com / M.Com / BBA (Finance) or equivalent.
- 0-2 years of experience in Accounting & Taxation.
- Freshers with strong accounting fundamentals may also apply.

- Knowledge of Accounting Principles and Financial Reporting.
- Working knowledge of GST, TDS, and statutory compliances.
- Proficiency in MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Basic Formulas).
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Tally, or similar accounting software.
- Strong analytical, numerical, and reconciliation skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
