Pay Rate: $21.74 – $26.71/hour
Summary Description
Reporting to the Business Services Manager, the Material Handler is responsible for supplying raw materials to the press department while supporting shipping, receiving, inventory, and warehouse operations. This role ensures materials are accurately staged, safely transported, and available to support production schedules while maintaining inventory accuracy and warehouse organization.
Success in this role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent forklift skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
What You'll Be Doing
- Follow all plant and division safety rules, policies, and procedures at all times.
- Perform all job duties in accordance with required safety practices and designated Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Maintain Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and housekeeping standards throughout the warehouse.
- Complete forklift inspections at the beginning of each shift.
- Locate, stage, and supply raw materials for scheduled press jobs.
- Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently.
- Verify incoming and outgoing materials against bills of lading, packaging lists, and shipping documentation.
- Maintain an organized warehouse by staging materials according to production jobs.
- Inspect trailers and trucks for cleanliness and safe operating conditions before loading or unloading.
- Verify returned raw materials and rolls are properly tagged, palletized, and returned to warehouse inventory.
- Ensure rejected materials are palletized and returned to designated warehouse locations.
- Assist with raw material and finished goods inventory activities.
- Verify material availability for upcoming production jobs.
- Sort and manage recyclable materials.
- Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Demonstrate a commitment to quality, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
- Work independently and collaboratively with other departments.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Maintain regular attendance and work overtime as required.

- You have a High School Diploma or GED.
- You can follow written and verbal instructions in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- You can accurately use measuring devices such as rulers and tape measures.
- You can maintain accurate logs, inventory records, and documentation.
- You demonstrate initiative and a willingness to learn and advance within the department.
- You are a dependable team player with a strong work ethic.
- You possess a valid forklift certification.
- You have basic computer skills.
- You possess a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and meet all licensing requirements.
- You have experience working in warehouse, shipping, receiving, or manufacturing operations.
