We are seeking a reliable and skilled Waterjet Operator to join our production team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating CNC waterjet machines and working in a fabrication environment. This role involves reading blueprints, cutting various materials to specification, and contributing to general fabrication tasks as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain CNC waterjet cutting machine
- Set up machine parameters, load materials, and ensure accurate cutting
- Handle, move, and position raw materials and finished parts safely & efficiently
- Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
- Perform fabrication tasks such as grinding, drilling, welding (if applicable), and finishing
- Inspect finished parts for accuracy and quality
- Maintain clean and safe work environment
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-3 years of experience in fabrication or waterjet operation (preferred)
- Ability to read technical drawings and use precision measurement tools
- Familiarity with various materials including metals, plastics, and composites
- Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Flow, OMAX, or similar waterjet systems
- Welding or metal fabrication experience a plus
