About this role

The Role:

We are seeking a Corporate IT Lead to own corporate IT operations, security, compliance, systems governance, and employee technology experience. This is a high-autonomy, senior individual contributor role (70% operational / 30% strategic) where you will not manage internal IT staff. Instead, service delivery will be scaled through MSPs, specialist contractors, and SaaS vendors.

Responsibilities:

- IT Operations & Employee Experience:

Own the entire employee lifecycle (Onboarding, Offboarding, and hardware provisioning across mixed Windows and macOS fleets).
- Lead and hold MSPs and external vendors accountable to establish clear performance metrics and service quality across US and UK/European working hours.

- Strategy & Systems Governance:

Evaluate corporate technology risks and costs, and oversee the SaaS application portfolio (access control, license optimization, rationalization).
- Provide technical governance for business tools (e.g., CRM / Microsoft Dynamics 365).

- Identity, Security & Compliance:

Own identity and access management (Microsoft Entra ID / M365, SSO, MFA, privileged access).
- Lead our SOC 2 compliance program end-to-end (audit coordination, evidence collection, control operation, and remediation).
- Manage endpoint security, vendor reviews, and corporate security incident response.

- AI Governance & Information Management:

Establish policies for approved AI tools, assess security/data privacy risks, and manage the corporate information framework.

Must-Have Requirements:

- Experience: 5+ years of IT experience, including acting as an accountable owner for IT operations in a distributed or lean environment.
- Compliance & SOC 2: Proven experience leading or materially driving SOC 2, ISO 27001, or equivalent compliance/security programs.
- Identity Management: Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), Microsoft 365, SSO, MFA, and employee lifecycle management.
- Endpoint Management: Hands-on experience supporting and managing both Windows and macOS environments.
- MSP & Vendor Management: Demonstrated ability to manage, evaluate, and hold MSPs and external contractors accountable.
- Profile: Self-driven, highly analytical, process-oriented, with excellent written communication and documentation skills.

Preferred Experience (Plus):

- Experience as the primary IT owner in a small-to-midsize company (100–500 employees).
- Experience with scripting, APIs, Microsoft Graph, or PowerShell.
